Note: On occasion I write things I consider to be more adult, though not graphic, in nature. For that I've created a specific filter. Check out this entry to read more about it and see if you'd like to be included on it. Comment on that entry then check out, this entry to see if I got around to adding you. Please, 18 and older. This is done in compliance with LiveJournal's Terms of Service.
What to write... what to write.
I'm never very good at these things. I used to have a canned introduction that I sent out to every list or community I joined but how can a few words explain what or who I am? They can't.
I'm a 32 year old graduate student who doesn't feel a day over 18 most days. I also teach hormones with tennis shoes though currently I'm out of the classroom; that is probably my first love. I'm thrilled to know that I've found what I want to do for the rest of my life. Some days that is the only reason I keep going with school.
Oh, and before the comments start, I'm not going to analyze you. One, I don't particularly care if your mother didn't potty train you until you were four and you've been emotionally scarred by having children call you "Peter PeePee Pants" since the tragic incident in pre-school. Two, that is not my area. I'm interested in how the brain and mind work, not the workings of yours.
I love reading and writing and I'm doing one or the other most of the time in some form or another. I also spend a lot of time reading when I try and catch up on my LJ friend's list because I have a prolific bunch of friends who have way too much time on their hands. But that's okay because it gives me stuff to read while I'm procrastinating at home.
I love music and almost always have it on in the background. I'm a fan of just about any sort of music from folksy music like Dar Williams, Ani DiFranco and the Indigo Girls to country like Trisha Yearwood, Terri Clark, and Gretchen Wilson. Not to mention Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback, Counting Crows, Michelle Branch, and a few others. I even like to believe I can sing though I really can't, a fact my 9th grade chorus instructor pretty much informed me of. This is the reason she was not my 10th grade choir instructor.
